Welcome
to the website for Hertfordshire Link Up Supporters

This is the website for you, if you are based in Hertfordshire, and you are helping adults to improve their literacy, language or numeracy - or if you are thinking about working or volunteering in this field. It is especially for you if you are part of a voluntary group or you are working in the community sector.

It is also the website for people who are studying (or thinking about studying) for the Level Two Adult Learner Support Certificate, particularly in Hertfordshire.

The website is a tool to help you in your work and in your studies. We hope that
you will contribute your ideas, and also pick up useful tips and suggestions.

The website has been produced with funding from the East of England Development Agency.

The Certificate for Adult Learner Supporters

The Government's Skills for Life initiative is all about helping 1.7 million people to improve their skills in literacy, language, and numeracy by 2007. There are many ways in which staff and volunteers are helping adults towards this target. In Hertfordshire, Adult Learner Supporters are encouraged to study for the City and Guilds Level Two Certificate for Adult Learner Supporters.
